A note about our Android app: The Nextel Connect Android app does not independently collect, store, or process any personal data. All data collection takes place exclusively on our website (nextelnetwork.ng) when users choose to register. The app serves as a companion to the platform — the data practices described in this policy apply to website registration only.

What Data We Collect

When you register or use the Nextel Connect platform, we collect the following information:

Full Name — to identify your account
Phone Number — to link you to the network and allocate your number pool
Email Address — for account communication and sending updates
Payment Information — processed securely through Korapay; we do not store your card details directly
Username — your chosen display name on the platform

We only collect data that is necessary to provide you with our services. We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

How We Use Your Data

The information we collect is used strictly for the following purposes:

To register and create your Nextel Connect account
To allocate your personal network pool and call minutes
To process your one-time membership activation payment
To send you important updates about your account or our services
To provide customer support when you contact us
To comply with legal obligations where required

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is listed above.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party — ever.

The only situation in which your data may be shared with a third party is with our payment processor, Korapay, solely for the purpose of completing your membership activation payment. Korapay operates under its own privacy policy and is compliant with Nigerian financial regulations.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from a Nigerian government authority.

In plain terms: Your data stays with us and our payment processor. Nobody else sees it, and we will never sell it.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your Nextel Connect membership is active.

If you close your account or request deletion, we will retain your data for a period of up to 90 days after account closure, after which it will be permanently deleted from our systems. This brief retention period allows us to resolve any outstanding issues, disputes, or payment queries that may arise.

Payment transaction records may be kept for longer periods where required by Nigerian financial regulations.

Your Rights

As a user of Nextel Connect, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to Correction — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate information
Right to Deletion — you can request that we delete your personal data
Right to Object — you can object to how we process your data

To exercise any of these rights, please send an email to streamafrica77@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 14 business days.

To delete your account and data: Email streamafrica77@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My Account" and include the email address linked to your Nextel account. Your data will be removed within 90 days.

Children's Privacy

Nextel Connect is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. Our platform involves financial transactions and telecom network access, which are not suitable for minors.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered on our platform, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data.

All data transmitted between your device and our platform is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
User data is stored securely in Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption at rest
Payment processing is handled entirely by Korapay — we never store your card or bank details on our servers
Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only

While we take every reasonable measure to protect your data, no system is 100% immune to security risks. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your account credentials private.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements.

When we make significant changes, we will notify you by sending an email to the address linked to your account. The updated policy will also be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date at the top.

Your continued use of Nextel Connect after any update means you accept the revised policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and any other applicable data protection regulations.

Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
